I listed more stuff on my Etsy store for all you eager shoppers!
These little ceramic birds have been one of my best sellers. I just listed some more, so grab them while they last!
Thanks to all of you who have made my store a success already! It's so exciting to find (and think) of new stuff to put in there, and I am honored and so happy each time someone buys something. If I don't sell out (fingers crossed that I do!) after Antique Alley then I will be listing more stuff, including some of those numbered, decorative balls so many of you liked. (is it ok to say that I like them too and they are currently displayed in my house?) Notice the little string at the top of one? Yup, these things are doing double time as either vase fillers or hanging ornaments. I've got more colors planned and if you have a color you would like to see then let me know!
Change Of Subjects
Took some pictures of our boys this weekend.
They are growing way too fast!
They love being cowboys! My youngest wants us to be a "horsy" 24/7.
I'm so sad to see summer fading away. So I wanted to capture a few shots before their little tans fade away.
Love them to death. Don't know what I would do without them.

Things I've done
Signs, Pictures, Decor AND MORE!
I have a couple of busy weeks coming up so I'm using every possible minute to try and restock my Etsy store as well as get stuff ready for Antique Alley.
I'm no Miss Mustard Seed, but I thought I would give you all a peak at some of the stuff I've been working on....
And then there are the things I still need to work on.....
Have a great weekend! If you think it's raining then it's not, just lil' ol' me sweating it out in a flurry of activity in my garage.
Thanks for offering to help. I appreciate that.

We Can Do It Cheaper - Tip'n Me Hat To Ya
So... In the spirit of all things cheap, simple and totally amazing... I am tipping my hat to Cozy.Cottage.Cute for her side table makeover. If I had her address then I would be sneaking over to
Just take a gander at this before and after picture.(Did I really just say "gander"?)
Aaaand lets take a closer look. (she did two different color numbers so that she could turn it around when her moods change. Great idea huh. Course, if it were me I would be switch'n that thing 'round every two hours.)
I love seeing what a huge impact something as simple as painting can have!
Ok, I don't normally do this, but I had to tip my hat (yeah that's my "theme" saying for this post) to 2 other linkers with some more great farmhouse style tables since that is what I had to offer this week as well.
Let us stop by French Country Cottage and take a look at her table.
The picture is a little small, but the table...wow. Click on over to her blog and see it in real-blog-life.
The second table is from Rachelle at This Simple Life
They took an average little table with a bullnose edge and just chopped that nose right off. Read more about it here. I love the way it turned out!
Shweee! (just made that one up. Just now at 12AM.) What a week of links! Thanks you all. We had some really great ones! Let's do it again!
1. Only link your post URL, not your blogs address!
2. Be sure to take that button at the top with you so that everyone can know where you're linking up!
3. Please only link crafts, DIY projects and the like. I don't want to delete your link!

Still Kick'n (and a Winner!)
I spent the weekend with my husband and boys in the beautiful city of San Antonio and have had a hard time getting back to normal. Please pardon my lack of posts:-)
I am also getting ready for Antique Alley since I will have a booth there this season, along with two of my friends. ( We will be at the Whipp Farm for those of you who would like to stop by September 17-19!)
Not to worry, I'll be back in a few hours to pick out my favorite linker from last week and to host this weeks We Can Do It Cheaper. Do join in the fun!
Comment #25 The Thriving Thrifter was the winner of my CSN giveaway! Congratulation!

We Can Do It Cheaper - Yup, Another Farmhouse Table.
7 years ago my husband and I received a dining room table and 4 chairs for a wedding gift. It was one of those ones with a natural top and white legs. You know what I'm talking about. We have used it and used and then used it some more. About 3 years ago I painted the whole thing black and loved it and used it some more.
Wellll, I was ready for a new look when we moved to this house. I wanted to go for a more casual look and perhaps make it a little more practical for everyday use. (Have you tried to keep a black table clean?!)
I neglected to take a picture when it was still inside since I was so eager to start my project. (note to self, think about starting your next garage project in less than 100 degree weather.)
I gave a half hearted attempt at sanding it with our orbital sander and quickly gave up. The 3 coats of poly that I had put on there previously were standing firm.
I love Citristrip! It works great, smells great and doesn't feel like you might be killing something just by opening the lid since it's much more natural.
After putting it on and waiting about 30 minutes, I started on the fun part. In the spots where I had got the Citristrip on heavy enough, the paint and poly came off like melted butter. Heaven.
The legs... they took some work. A few hours of work. It was so worth it though!
After sweating all over the garage floor and finally getting everything sanded down, then I had my husband work his magic with the saw. I couldn't be happier with how the scoring turned out. It looks like a true plank table! (see more on how he scores it here)
I stained it with one coat of regular stain, then two coats of stain and poly. After those all dried I did one more coat of plain polyurethane that was a little more matte than shine. I really didn't want the table to be a mirror to all spots and such.
The distressing of the apron and legs took me some time to get it the way I wanted. Don't ask me what I did cause I did everything. I tried this and that and the other. Not totally great with it in the end, but... it'll do!
See that cute little light above the table? I love Ikea. Love my guy for hanging that for me too. New (old mismatched) chairs will soon grace the table and the "old" (new) ones will move on to their new life.. somewhere.
The sign was uummmm, painted by me. I'm kinda embarrassed about it so shhhhh. It's crooked and funky, but there she hangs in all her glory!
So my total for this
$12 for the Citristrip. Yup, ya heard right. I was lucky enough to have everything else I needed on hand. A little stain, a
Show me what you've been sweating over. I am waiting with eager eyes!

Let's Have Another Giveaway!
For those that noticed that I had the wrong date posted for the giveaway, I did fix it. Thank you!
I know you guys are thinking that I'm super generous, but... in reality I've just had the privilege of teaming up with other people that are!
CSN Stores is once more giving me the honor of passing on the chance to win a $40 gift certificate to use at any of their 200+ online stores.
Looking for something special? I know they are sure to have it!
You can peruse their selection of bistro sets for those romantic evening dinners or a chat with an old friend.
I was very excited to see that they sell Dash and Albert bags...
And rugs! I love, love all the stripes!
With over 1 million items to look through, it can be a little overwhelming.
My trick is to search by keywords. Maybe even find a brand you like on there (like Dash and Albert) and just type that in. I always look at items made by "Imax" to see what they have to offer.
Type in a word like "sailcloth" and you'll see some awesome pillows and bags. Like the one above!
There is something for everyone! Just dive on in and start looking!
Thank you to CSN Stores for doing this giveaway!
