When I was growing up, both of my parents had special mugs that they preferred to have their coffee in. On Sunday mornings, my parents would hang out in their bed reading the paper and drinking coffee, and my brothers and I would fight over who got to refill their mugs and bring them into their room.

Last week, I bought my first special coffee mug (you can see it here) and it got me thinking about what makes a mug "special". Mine is large (important), heavy and it feels good in my hand. Oh, and it looks pretty too. Here are a few more that I think would make perfect "special" mugs for your favourite hot beverage. Which one would you choose?
