Hannah's monthly photo

Hannah turned five months old over the weekend! She's a pretty happy baby who loves to smile, laugh and blow raspberries. Speaking in any kind of accent cracks her up, but she especially enjoys my terrible attempts at British and Australian accents.

In the mornings, I often put her in the middle of our bed with a toy and she babbles and squeals to herself while Adam and I try to catch a few extra minutes of half-sleep. We call them her morning monologues. Occasionally, shrieking is involved. It's her new way of letting us know she's bored. Oh, and sometimes it's just for fun, which is just grrreaat (spelling it this way totally conveys sarcasm, right?).

On the not-so-great side, Hannah stopped sleeping through the night about a month ago. Damn. We think it's mostly related to teething, since she will start crying in her sleep before waking up, but I've started voraciously researching sleep training, too. Any tips? Books we should read? Books we should NOT read? We already do the bedtime routine, but we're trying to figure out how to stop the whole waking-up-multiple-times-each-night thing. Not cool, Hannah. Not cool.

I'm taking a photo of Hannah every month until she turns two. You can check out the rest of her monthly photos here
